My design process
I’ve worked with startups, NGOs, design agencies and software houses. I have led design on mobile and web products for diverse stakeholders; I’ve also served as a researcher, strategist and UX writer. Check out some case studies, or read on to learn more about how I work.

I extensively use design research to look, listen and learn about problems. I love live interviews and field research where I can observe existing processes and solutions in their natural environment.
I excel at and love creating order out of chaos. Whether distilling research insights or organizing a giant spreadsheet, I enjoy getting elbow-deep in minutiae. And then cleaning it up.
I prototype and test solutions to rapidly learn and adjust. It’s the only way.
I use visualization to model ecosystems, communicate findings, and better understand complex relationships.
I write to simplify complex ideas, articulate products and designs, tell stories, and untangle my thoughts.
I find ways to co-create – with engineers, product managers, “users,” and each other. The best work happens when we bring others into our process, so I spend lots of time facilitating and listening.
Collaboration and communication come naturally to me. I’m a connector of people and ideas. I believe in the power of personal relationships and cross-pollination of ideas to enrich our communities, ideas, and well-being.
